This privacy policy aims to inform you transparently about how the LocalSafeBox encrypted vault mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the Application), developed by DATASLATITUDES (hereinafter referred to as the Publisher), collects, uses and protects your personal data.

The protection of your privacy is at the heart of our concerns. Unlike many applications, LocalSafeBox is designed to operate autonomously: your data remains your property and never leaves your device without your voluntary action.

By using the Application, you accept the terms of this policy. If you do not accept these conditions, please do not use the Application.

1. Data controller

The person responsible for data processing for the LocalSafeBox application is: DATASLATITUDES (E.mail : privacy.localsafebox@dataslatitudes.com).

2. Collected data and purposes

2.1. Data managed directly by the application

The application allows you to securely store text information, image type files (JPEG, PNG or WEBP) as well as PDF files.

    • Storage: this data is stored exclusively in a local encrypted database.
    • Access: the Publisher has no access to this data. It is never uploaded to our servers.

2.2. Security data related to biometrics

The application uses the “androidx.biometric” API.

    • Processing: the validation of your fingerprint or your face is performed by the Android secure system (“TEE/StrongBox”).
    • Privacy: LocalSafeBox only receives a success or failure status from the system. We do not collect or store any biometric data.

2.3. Data related to the Premium subscription

The application uses the Google “Google Play Billing” API.

    • Processing: all transactions are processed by Google.
    • Data: we only receive an anonymised purchase confirmation to activate your Premium rights. We do not collect any bank details.

3. Encryption and security

We implement reinforced technical measures:

    • SQLCipher : your database is encrypted with a military-grade algorithm.
    • Android Security Crypto : we use the phone’s hardware keys to protect access to files.
    • IMPORTANT TO KNOW: due to total encryption, if you lose your master password, DatasLatitudes will not be able to restore your data.

4. Sharing data with third parties

    • Sale or sharing: we do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to third parties.
    • Third-party services: the application does not use any advertising trackers or any behaviour analysis tools.

5. User rights

You have the following rights relating to the General Data Protection Regulation:

    • Right of access and portability: you can export your data at any time via the integrated export functions in XLSX format. You can also back up the database used by LocalSafeBox to restore it on another smartphone.
    • Right to erasure: you can delete all your data by simply deleting the application and erasing all data that may be present in your working directory.
    • Right to restriction: as your data is stored locally, you have full control over its processing.

6. Data retention

Data is kept on your device as long as the application is installed or until you delete it. In case of uninstallation, you must also delete any data present in your working directory.

7. Permissions required

The application requests access to storage (working directory) only for:

    • Extract the content of your documents (images or PDF).
    • Import or export your data in XLSX format.
    • Create and read your own backup files.

8. Changes to the privacy policy

The Publisher reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Your continued use of the service after the publication of modifications will constitute acceptance of the new conditions.
