TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE<\/strong><\/h1>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThese general conditions aim to define the modalities for making the LocalSafeBox application of the publisher DatasLatitudes available and the conditions of use in force as of 18 April 2026.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

1. Acceptance of terms<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nInstallation and use of the application imply full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms of Use. In case of disagreement, the user must stop using the application and proceed with its uninstallation.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

2. Description of service<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nLocalSafeBox is a local digital safe for storing, categorising and securing confidential personal data. The application uses advanced encryption technologies (SQLCipher) and allows the import\/export of files in XLSX format as well as database backup or restoration.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

3. Access and security (user responsibility)<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

3.1. Password and encryption key<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The application relies on locally managed end-to-end encryption. The encryption key consists of the application master password, which it is advised to define with at least 14 characters including 2 uppercase, 2 lowercase, 2 digits and 2 special characters.\r\nA simpler password (minimum 4 characters) is accepted but strongly discouraged and it is at the user’s own risk.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    • Sole responsibility:<\/strong> the user is the sole holder of the main password.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

          \r\n \t
        • Absence of recovery:<\/strong> due to the security architecture, DatasLatitudes has no way to reset your password or decrypt your data.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
            \r\n \t
          • \r\n
              \r\n \t
            • Data loss:<\/strong> the loss of the main password leads to the permanent loss of access to the stored data.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

              3.2. Biometric access<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

              The user can activate access by fingerprint or face recognition if these devices are present and configured on their smartphone. This feature is a comfort addition and does not replace the need to memorise the main password.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

              4. Financial conditions (Premium subscription)<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

              4.1. Pricing<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

              Access to unlimited features (Premium) is subject to an annual subscription, the price of which depends on the country. The subscription is made from within the application using a Google Play Store account configured and active on the user’s smartphone.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

              4.2. Payment and renewal<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

              Payment is made via the “Google Play Billing” secure system. The subscription is concluded for a duration of 12 months and renews automatically, unless cancelled by the user via their Google Play account settings (or by the subscription management offered by the application) at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.\r\nIn the case of cancellation, no refund is possible but the user can continue to use the Premium features until the end of the period.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

              4.3. End of subscription<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

              In the event of non-renewal, the user switches to the free version. Consultation access to data created during the Premium period is maintained, but the creation of new elements or the modification of records is no longer possible. All functions not directly related to consultation are also deactivated.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

              5. Intellectual Property<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThe application, its source code, its graphic interface and its logos are the exclusive property of DatasLatitudes. Any attempt at reverse engineering, decompilation or reproduction is strictly prohibited.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

              6. Limitation of the publisher’s liability<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

              6.1. Data integrity<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

              The application offers backup and restoration functions for its database. It is the user’s responsibility to perform regular backups and store them on a secure external medium. DatasLatitudes cannot be held responsible for data loss related to:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

                • a hardware malfunction (defective phone),<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

                    • improper handling by the user (deletion of system files),<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

                      • \r\n
                          \r\n \t
                        • the loss of the encryption password.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

                          6.2. Availability<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

                          DatasLatitudes strives to ensure regular maintenance of the application, but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation on all Android device models.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
